Alleviating suffering, and promoting justice and peace are mission goals of First United Methodist Church. We follow and serve Jesus Christ as we reach out to people in need both locally and globally.

Mission Work Teams – Each year the congregation sends adult and youth work teams to participate in mission projects like building houses in places like Juarez and Rio Bravo, Mexico, or to assisting in clean-up and rebuilding efforts in places like the hurricane damaged Gulf Coast.

Food Cupboard – Food, diapers, and hygiene items are available at the church to anyone in need, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

We Care Fund – The "We Care Fund" provides financial assistance to persons experiencing financial or personal crisis. Funds are used for rent and utility assistance, temporary shelter, medical prescriptions, and counseling.

Dillons Certificates – Dillions Certificates may be purchased on Sunday mornings, 8:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. The church receives 4% of the value of the certificates and the proceeds are used to help finance Work Camps and other mission projects. These certificates may be used the same as cash at any Dillons Store, except for the purchase of tobacco, alcohol, prescriptions, postage and lottery tickets. They may also be redeemed for gasoline at Kwik Shops.

Mission and Ministry Funds – By supporting 100% of our share of Mission and Ministry Funds through the Kansas West Conference of the United Methodist Church we support local, national, and international mission programs.
