Spring 2008 Kindermusik Schedule

Classes:
"Our Time"
This weekly 30 minute class gives parents and children 18 months - 4 years, an opportunity to sing, dance, play rhythm instruments, and participate in listening exercises. Children are encouraged to participate at their own developmental level by both the teacher and parent who is actively involved during the entire class. This semester's theme for Our Time is: "Wiggles & Giggles".

"Imagine That!"
This weekly 40 minute class is designed for imaginative 3 1/2 - 6 year-olds and encourages socialization, sharing, and participating in group activities. Singing becomes a focus. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture the child’s immense potential to learn and to encourage one’s creativity and individuality. Parents/caregivers are invited to participate in the last 15 minutes for the Sharing Time of this 40-minute class. This semester's theme for Imagine That! is: "See What I Saw”.

Instructor:
Lori Johnson, Kindermusik Educator Miss Lori has a B.A. in Music Education from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS, and a M.S. Ed. In Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. She has taught in public schools, preschools, churches, recreation centers, and at a community college. Lori is currently the Coordinator of Evangelism and Volunteers and the Chancel Choir Director at the First United Methodist Church. She has two young children, Paul and Emma.
